From the terrible acting, useless camera work, lack of story or the unimpressive stints, the whole thing is just amateur. I mean Agent Jade Black, for me, was like watching Robert Rodriguez's El Mariachi, which was the indie film that served as his breakout project. That's about the closest I can approximate this viewing experience to. Here is a movie that seems like the springboard to larger more satisfying ideas. Agent Jade Black: Black is suppose to be a globe-trotting hard-as-nails super agent, a little bit like another JB character but with childhood issues, however Burgess plays her two dimensional poorly scripted character badly, so much so that at time you wonder if you're watching a spoof. Part of the problem is the resources are incapable of delivering anything the script asks of them. "Italy" for example, appears entirely depicted by the scientist using an espresso maker.
